We are always striving to provide your pet with superior care. Here is what some of our pet parents have to say about our practice:
Dr. Pearson and his staff are absolutely wonderful! Not only did they go out of their way to see my husband and my very sick kitten Wednesday, Oct.21st but being allowed to be in the examination room with her, ( instead of having to drop her off like other vets are required) among the professionalism, concern, and compassion shown by the Doctor and staff greatly made my husband and I extremely happy and at ease. Our kitten has cerebellar hypoplasia and the doctor was very gentle with her. We were so impressed by them, we asked them to be our vet from now on! My sister is the one who recommended we call Noah's Ark. So very glad we did!

Bottom line: 10 out of 10 would recommend and can't wait to take both our dogs back! We are grateful to Dr. Pearson and his staff for his compassionate help and kindness. We took our 9-month-old black lab, Remy, to see Dr. Pearson for a cardiac workup after our local vet in Clovis, NM told us that she needed one. Two weeks ago, we adopted her from the local animal shelter and she was diagnosed with kennel cough the next day when we took her to get her first set of vaccines. About a week later, her respiratory symptoms weren't getting better on the antibiotics so we went back to our local vet. After listening to her heart, the local vet said there were "extra heartbeats and a heart murmur with chest congestion in the lungs". The local vet took an X-ray and said that Remy had an enlarged and abnormally shaped heart (a visit of $400). We were super worried about what this might mean for our puppy and concerned that she might be suffering when breathing shallowly and rapidly when she was sleeping. No vets in the Clovis/Portales area were capable of doing a cardiac workup, including an echocardiogram. We called a little frantic on a Tuesday about possibly getting a cardiac workup down. The receptionist was super helpful. She explained how the visit would go and how the costs were calculated. We were given an appointment in 3 days! We are so happy we found Dr. Pearson and Noah's Ark Pet Hospital!! Dr. Pearson was very kind and compassionate. He is down to earth and clearly loves animals. He took his time with us to explain everything and was great with our puppy. Before we even got there, he had looked at her records and chest X-rays and gave us a preliminary assessment before we did the echocardiogram. He also reassured us that he would consult with a board-certified vet cardiologist if there were any abnormal findings. The way he ran the visit was one step at a time so that no unnecessary tests were done (both less stress on the dog and less expensive for us). The vet techs were also amazing and very understanding. They were gentle with our puppy Remy and let me carry her to the room where they prepped her for the echocardiogram. They were kind to her as they held her for the echocardiogram. Dr. Pearson had a specialist ultrasonographer do the echocardiogram, which we really appreciate because we knew our puppy was getting the best scan possible. While we were there, he also did an EKG and blood work. He showed us that the EKG was completely normal, as well as her bloodwork. The whole visit was $312 - we couldn't believe it! Our local vet warned the cardiac workup could cost $1000 to $2000 depending on how urgently we got it done and where. It is obvious to us that Dr. Pearson and his staff are in veterinary medicine for the right reasons and truly love what they do. They didn't do any unneeded testing just to charge us more and made sure we understand the information gained from each test and why it was being done. We are so very happy that our puppy is happy and healthy, and we really cannot thank Dr. Pearson and his staff enough for their help and great care of our Remy.

Today I had to say goodbye to one of my fur babies. The frog was a beautiful and loving bunny. He had broken a vertebra in his lower back and a rib. The break left him paralyzed in his hind legs. I was prepared for what was going to have to happen, but it was still extremely difficult. Dr. Pearson explained to me about Frog’s injuries and what would be best for him. There was no surgery or medication that could have saved him. The staff prepared him for me to say goodbye. I got to spend as much time with him as I wanted. The staff was incredibly sympathetic to me and my bunny. I just want to say thank you for making an extremely difficult day a little easier.
