Dr. Merten Pearson

Veterinarian/Owner

Dr. Pearson, known as "Doc" to his clients & staff, has been a Veterinarian for over 20 years.

Although he graduated from Keyes High School in the Oklahoma Panhandle, Doc has lived most of his life here in the Amarillo area. His college days were spent in Utah and College Station Texas, interrupted only by the amazing two years he spent in South America on a mission for his church.
Doc knew by age 14 that he wanted to be a veterinarian and so it was no surprise when he set his sights on vet school and graduated from Texas A & M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993.

While Doc started as a veterinarian for the mixed animal practice, he prefers to focus on providing total veterinary care for dogs, cats, birds, pocket pets, reptiles, and small exotics.

Doc is also the On-Call Veterinarian for The Amarillo City Zoo where he works closely with the zoo’s Curator in treating and caring for all of their animals.

Doc loves all aspects of veterinary care, but he is known for his expertise in orthopedic surgery and pet dentistry.

As the premier veterinary dentist in the area, he enjoys performing root canals, vital pulpectomies, surgical extractions, and even orthodontics.

When not piloting the Ark with his wife, Dr. Tiffany Olsen, Doc enjoys serious bicycling (road/mountain) and early morning spinning at the gym. It’s nothing for him to make a day out of biking up and down the area’s canyons or doing a sweet and easy 20-30 miles on the road.

Doc is also fascinated by the science of astronomy and has built his own telescope from the bottom up. It has a mirror of 12 1/2 inches that he polished by hand! He successfully completed the building of his son’s telescope which has a 6-inch mirror. He also currently enjoys target shooting and reloading.

Doc is currently active in the Palo Duro Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is serving in a stake calling at this time.

Dr. Tiffany Olsen

Dr. Tiffany Olsen has partnered with her husband, Doc Pearson, on everything for the past several decades. As Practicing Partner, she also ensures Noah's Ark Pet Hospital steers straight.

Dr. Beau Stone

Veterinarian

Dr. Stone is the newest veterinarian at Noah's Ark Pet Hospital. He was born in Amarillo but has travelled much of the country. Dr. Stone originally worked at Noah's Ark as an intern and then as a technician, before starting vet school at Texas A&M. While enrolled at Texas A&M he would return to practice as a technician during school breaks. After graduating from vet school, Dr. Stone moved back to Amarillo to rejoin Noah's Ark as a veterinarian.

Dr. Stone has interests in exotics, surgery, preventative medicine, diagnostics, and feline medicine. Outside of the practice he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking/baking, and trying new foods. According to the technicians, if Dr. Stone was a Disney Character, he would be Milo from Atlantis.
